Hey there beautiful people! How is your Sunday going?
I went to an amazing Church service today! Very Refreshing. Pastor is doing a series on being unstoppable, and getting God back in the center of your life, and the countries life. A couple weeks ago we watched a video about a Rabbi and his book, its called "The Harbinger: The ancient mystery that holds the secret of America's future". It compared prophesies and signs from 9/11 with Isiah 9. Omens in Isiah showed God's anger with the Israelites, and now as a nation we have defied him once again. I keep meaning to order this book, I found it really interesting. Here is a link to the sermon with the video, in case your interested:

LINK TO BOOK. Anyways, this led the Pastor to the unstoppable series. Us meaning you and me need to be unstoppable when it comes to Christ, and spreading the word, and serving Him. Its really dug into my heart....
Declaration from last week (This is what the Pastor has us 'declare as a congregation): I am filled with seeds of greatness because I possess the seeds of Christ. God is connecting me with people of faith who will inspire me, challenge me and help me to grow. If there are nay unhealthy relationships in my life, I refuse to let them pull me down any longer. I am moving forward with those who believe the promises of God and are determined to realize them.
The Big Idea (The main point): The people in your inner circle can make you or break you!
Scripture: Mark 5:35-43 NLT
While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.” But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.” Then Jesus stopped the crowd and wouldn’t let anyone go with him except Peter, James, and John (the brother of James). When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw much commotion and weeping and wailing. He went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.” The crowd laughed at him. But he made them all leave, and he took the girl’s father and mother and his three disciples into the room where the girl was lying. Holding her hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means “Little girl, get up!” And the girl, who was twelve years old, immediately stood up and walked around! They were overwhelmed and totally amazed. Jesus gave them strict orders not to tell anyone what had happened, and then he told them to give her something to eat.
Application (How to use it in real life): When you are in the heat of the battle you need people in your inner circle that will believe with you for the promises of God (Mark 5:37) • Disbelief destroys and a bad report delays the arrival of your destiny (Numbers 13,14)• Don’t surround yourself with people who are constantly telling you what you can’t do, it’s biblical to ask unbelieving people to leave.
I took most of the above from the Churches site, this was only our second service at this Church, and I think its pretty cool so far. Seems to be a good atmosphere, and actual filled with the Spirit. They don't have this Sunday's sermon notes up yet, so when they get that up I'll post it here, next Sunday. I think I will do a Sunday series like this, sharing the Gospel with you guys. Some will like it some not so much, but I think that I am being led to do this...Plus it gives me a way to think about the sermons more in depth than just listening in Church.
I am relaxing now on my couch waiting to see what TS (hurricane) Issac brings tomorrow. So far its just pretty gloomy out. I have a yummy smelling roast in the crock pot, found the recipe on pinterest:
POT ROAST. I threw it in before leaving this morning to Church and when I got home added carrots, potatoes and onions to it, smells so good in here right now. We also rented The Lorax on demand, it just finished, it had a quote at the end: Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothings going to get better. It's not. (That Pretty much goes along with the Unstoppable sermons!! Pretty neat.
Love to ya'll, Carrie
