Valentines Day Challenge Wrap up

Ok, I'm sorry I left you hanging on the rest of the challenges. Things got busy and I forgot, or didn't have time to blog.

Day nine, I did one lame joke, I forget what is was...I made brownie 'cake' balls

Day ten, nothing happened-from my list, we nixed Chuck E Cheese. We ended up driving aimlessly and ended up at a state park, saw beautiful ocean water and views, very pretty. Ate Dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and then home. (this was the day we found out our car was still broken-I'll spare you the details.)
Day eleven, didn't get done, Husband came home from work early and ruined plans.
Day twelve, I gave Husband the fish bowl note

Day thirteen, did valentines with the kids for their class mates, packaged up Husbands gift.
I also sent this note to his email:

Day fourteen, VALENTINES DAY!! I had a nice rose and card waiting for me that morning.

Here's a nicer one on display, I bought Husband superman undies, LOL. Parker thought it was hysterical!! Kevin said they needed a cape to fly with. The next morning Parker asked Kevin if he flew in his undies....Bwhahaha. BEST present ever!

And my card, it had little notes on each page, some funny, some lame jokes...

How was your Valentine's Day?

Here's the challenge:

~Day One: Make coffee for husband, with a note attached with a 'kiss'
~Day Two: Shower Emma with specialness all day long. (its her Birthday she is going to be eight)Nail painting, hair doing, makeup putting on, maybe even going to the mall to window shop?
~Day Three: Make heart shaped desserts for family.
~Day Four: Wake up and get kids ready for school (husband usually does most of it), Prepare Heart shaped dinner

Valentine's Day Challenge: 6

Ok so you will want to read yesterday's post, before you begin this one, if your not caught up that is.

Yesterday

So yesterday I told you how day five went down, and it was pretty upsetting...but then yesterday Husband sent me this:

Our love is like color that no one seems to find. They paint their house with what they settled with or that matched the curtains and blinds. They pick a car because it looked good yet nicer when it drives. They see it in a store yet change their mind to match a purse. I can go all night but yet I'm yours and you are mine.. Love Kevin.

I'm not totally getting it, but he spent some time on it, and that means something.
He brought this home Tuesday night (day five) but it was tense before he gave it to me:

On the car issue, it should be done today. Hopefully. We'll see, haven't heard anything from them yet.

So what was day six? Play Go Fish, and surprise with pail of worms.
That didn't happen. I got kind of backed up a bit on my challenges, but I am still doing them. Last night (day six) I did the Hershey Kiss game with them. I cut out heart shaped stickers and put them on the bottom of each Kiss and then we played. Kids loved it.

My door bell rang early this morning....it was a delivery: My neighbor is a baker also and I was her 100th 'like' on FB and she sent over these. They are soooo yummy! Its like a brownie cake ball with a cherry center. Chocolate Heaven. Thanks Symantha!

Today is day seven and so far I plan on doing the Pail of Worms tonight after Parker and I get back from Kindergarten Round-up. He is VERY excited!

Have a great rest of the day!

Valentine's Day Challenge Day 5

Yesterday was day five of my challenge for Valentine's Day. I emailed my husband lots of times during the day. I'll list some of them...or maybe all of them, with replies....if he replies, sometimes he doesn't, cause he is busy at work. (heads up, he didn't answer most of them. He said he was really busy at work today)

First email:
ME: Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly.
No Reply

Second email:
ME: If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?
No Reply

Third email:
ME: (pinterest link)

HIM: G. I love you too.     (Guess I forgot the G. whoopsie, lol)

Fourth email:
ME: Roses are red, and sometimes they're thorny, When you're not with me, I get really..... ;)
No Reply

Fifth email:
ME: Love is just a word until you find some who gives it a definition.
No Reply

Sixth email:
ME: A hundred hearts would be too few, To carry all my love for you.
No Reply

Seventh email:
ME: Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was choice, falling in love with you was beyond my control.
No Reply

Eighth email:
ME: It's not that I can't live without you...it's just that I don't even want to try.
No Reply

Ninth email:
ME: Love makes life a beautiful ride.
No Reply

Tenth email:
ME: Hello Love, YOU are my Happy Ending (Muah) This is my last email. I hope you enjoyed some of these, if not all of them.
HIM: Tnx. lv u 2

I was a bit disappointed to tell the truth. Some things happened last night which left me a crying mess in the shower and I guess he didn't realize what they meant to me....still doesn't...Men. I am still pretty upset with him over what happened, but I am not going to dwell on it, these are for me, there challenging myself into showing more love for my family.

I also did not do the Hershey Kiss matching game (that will be tonight) , because my head was throbbing, and my body ached.

Why?

oh because our damn flipping car isn't fixed yet!!!

That is not snow, I guess I caught the misty dew of dawn that morning....

Kevin was in the middle turning left, there was a break in traffic and he went, then a car slammed into him, apparently he didn't see it...It was speeding. Well The mechanic has had it since Friday Jan 18th. We had a rental until Feb 1st. That was a Friday, they called on Friday saying it wouldn't be ready until Mon. Which is fine I guess, they were having alignment issues...we took the rental back. Monday: car still isn't fixed, so Kevin takes my car to work on Tuesday (he was off on Monday), and I biked to drop off Parker at Pre-K (one mile there) pulling 70+ pounds of kid weight in bike trailer. Then I biked home pulling 40+pounds, the longer way because I had to go to the store (2miles home) So that is 3 miles of hard biking, so far.
Then I walked to pick Parker up from Pre-K, pushing Hunter (1 mile). Then pushed both of them to the store to kill time to get the others out of school, so I wasn't going home and then coming back right away (1mile there and back). I got the the big kids school at 1, it doesn't get out until 2:15...I pulled them out early-bad mom alert, just so I wouldn't have to deal with two 'bored' kids for an hour or so.....then walked home pushing 70+ pounds, while the big kids walked also....

5 miles, yesterday. That's why I am sore.

We picked up a rental for Kevin this morning cause I can't do that again. Plus it is cheaper this way than me driving him back and forth to work for how ever many days he has the rental this time, because the people fixing it , 'just don't know'. UGHHH!

Sorry, vent over.

Valentine's Challenge Day 4

Good Morning. So last night on my FB page for this here little blog, I told ya'll that I did day four's challenge, but only the 'wake up and get kids ready for school' part, I didn't have anything in the house to make heart shaped dinners, but made up for it by giving them chocolate covered pretzels, which just happen to look like hearts! (They were also part of Kevin's special desert on day three)

Today is Day Five. Email husband every five minutes - mushy stuff, I wonder how fast he will get aggravated with me?

My First email was a quote:

Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly. - Rose Franken

I thought that was perfect for starting this 'challenge'.  :)

Below I posted my challenges, and then linked them up with the previous posts, just click on the day to see how it went.

Here is my mani I did last night, it was inspired by this pinterest pin.
The base is a Grey Jelly with Black and White speckles, its a Sassy Lacquer polish :) no name...Or maybe Grelly Specks???

Have a great Tuesday!

Day 2 and 3 of Valentines Day Challenge.

**picture heavy**

My Nails for the Weekend, I love them!

Hey guys! How is your weekend going so far?
We had a great two days so far!
Yesterday was spent in St. Pete. We went to Madeira Beach, To St. Johns Pass. It has a boardwalk along a channel to the bay and out to the gulf. Shops, Food, and Ice cream. Once a year there is a huge Pirate festival that we try to go to at St. Johns Pass. The kids enjoy it alot.

Here are some pictures of our adventure yesterday:

Emma: Mommy we're in Seattle!

See the Dolphin? There were 4-5 of them swimming from the bay to the gulf.

Parker wanted a picture with the hammerhead shark.

This is not upside down....this was on the ceiling of the sidewalk.

Hunter was scared to go any closer

Balloon guy made her a birthday hat!

Soon after this photo, a seagull tried to get Riley's ice cream....It swooped down and got its foot in the ice cream...LOL

Emma at the rest stop on the Skyway Bridge

That was our Saturday. Emma said she had a great day. Of course this was after she whinned about not getting ice cream before lunch.... Can't win them all.

This was our Sunday:

We hung around in the morning, (I forgot I was supposed to do lollipops this morning with the toothbrush note- so I swapped it out for another challenge day) We played outside, then we cooked over a bonfire, had some Jello jigglers in the shape of a heart. Then we watched a movie.

I gots a marshmallow on my lip...
