So far of 2013....so says Skye from my FB polish group! LOL.
So I was bored last night and had my friend help me search for inspiration on pinterest.
She came up with this.
I picked out some colors. A Purple-Orly Velvet Rope, a blue-Zoya Robyn, an orange-Sally Hansen XW Sun Kissed, and a glitter-China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara.
I expected it to come out awful...the colors all clashed.
Well it turned out pretty neat. I used Orly for the base, then did a diagonal tip with Zoya, and then dotted with the Sally Hansen, and then striped with the China Glaze. Topped it all off with Seche Vite.
Sorry about the quality of the photo...but if I didn't take the picture then I know I wouldn't have gotten around to it (busy day=Monday) so....yeah. But you get the picture...
So tell me what you think? Epic? Neat? Cool? Ugly?
Thanks for stopping by!

Is that mold on your nails???
That's what one of my friends said about this mani. She said it was the color combo. Thanks Kristen. :D
Anyways I may break this out again for Halloween and call it a monster mani, lol.
I used China Glaze Stone Cold as a base. I top coated it then put a matte coat on top, for drying purposes, yes I know Stone Cold is already matte. Then I dotted with clear and added the orange flocking powder, and then placed a light green gem on my nail also.
Then on the other hand I left Stone Cold shiny, and added clear to my ring finger, placed the green gem, and then flocked it.
What do you think? Mold? Monster?
Have a great day!

Stars and Gems
I haven't really been doing much with my nails lately, well this whole past year...You know, that depression thing...
Well I am slowly still climbing out of that hole.....sometimes I go deeper though and have to rework myself up...its a one step forward three step back progress. I'm trying. the walls of my hole are also covered with anxiety and control issues as well. I am trying to self heal. Its hard. My family helps though, they know my troubles and they helps whenever they can, most of the time by listening to me complain or cry...but at least it is something.
So on to the nails. I received some nail decor items for my birthday, from one of my birthday group buddies, Jessica, so I decided to use those. I used the stars and the gems that were in this little package.
For my base I used China Glaze For Audrey as a base, and then China Glaze Water You Waiting For as my 'tip'. Then I added some stars up the angle of the 'tip' and ended the angle with a gem.
I hope you enjoyed this mani.
For Audrey came from the same person as the glitter.
Water You Waiting For came from, oh well me, I think I bought it...can't remember, my memory sucks!

Cancer Awareness Challenge
Hi Guys.
This month I will be sporting a pink AND gold manicure everyday, except the days of my Halloween challenge I am participating in.
Why? To support Breast cancer awareness month and because I forgot last month or rather didn't really know because it isn't as publicized as Breast Cancer is, Pediatric cancer awareness.
I have a friend that has a wonderful little boy, E. He is so strong and so brave! He is fighting the evil dragon, that is what they call it. He has a GREAT supportive family, that has also been very strong and brave. I want to support them as well and what better way to do it then to do fun mani's?? If your the donating type, there are three charities that my Friend recommends:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, St. Baldricks, and Curesearch
So here is today's Manicure, I used Finger Paints Give Pink a Chance and China Glaze Blonde Bombshell.
This is a cute little (BIG) bow that I made last night....Em is sporting it to school today, We will see how well it holds up on her, might make more to sell...what do you think?

Sorry Sorry Sorry.....(Riveting)
So sorry for the inactivity...
I had three cakes in the last week (pictures later), the kids were on spring break, visited with my mom for a few days, saw my aunt....and my grandparents....
Remember that Christmas contest I held....well I just now sent out Katie's gift! I am so sorry it was so late, but it'll be worth it, its a one and only by yours truly!!
I also mailed out the two last winners also!!
I am in the middle of two swaps, or s it three, oh maybe four, I need to keep track better!!! One is the coveted MF Fantasy Fire! Another are two of the Catrice Million Styles collection. One was Wild at Heart- Color Club, and the last ones are some Catrice and Essence's I have been wanting. Thank You ladies for being so willing and lovely! Oh and I am doing the Spring Surprise over in PaA!!!!
Below I have for you China Glaze Riveting, from the Hunger Games Collection!!! It is so bright and it has lovely golden glass flecks in it!! Not my favorite color but I am trying to go out of my blue/green/purple comfort zone. I also picked up Luxe and Lush, Stone Cold, Smoke and Ashes, and Harvest Moon from that collection.
Tomorrow or later this week -end, you'll get to meet "The Wanderer"!!!

Monday's Mani
Over on Facebook I belong to a group called Polish-aholics Anonymous. When I put their logo on my page, I didn't know there was a group for it. I've been a member since summer....Or around that time...
Krissi, the group owner, started Monday Mani .... we vote on a challenge as a group the Mon before and then post a picture of our interpretation the following Monday. This weeks challenge was 'Crackle'. Alot of us weren't to thrilled with the idea. Boring, over that, old news, blah blah blah....
I took a bottle of it out and thought Hmm...what to do, what to do. Got my art brushes out and started to play around, and came up with this:
I used OPI A-taupe the Space Needle and China Glaze Crushed Candy.
Only one picture this time. I fixed my light box...I still need to learn how to photograph with it, as my close ups come out grainy...weird.
Hope you enjoy my design.

So onto those candy canes...
I painted FOUR coats of Nicole by OPI's Kim-Pletely in Love as a base. It is such a pretty color, it has a slight blue shimmer to it, and is so 'romantic' looking. This polish and it sister polish - Its all about the Glam, which is a white polsh, with a shimmer to it, very lovely as well, they are going to make great top coats! I put one coat of them onto a black, and its just...well.....its good! I'll show you all those tommorrow.....
Then for my stripes I was going to stamp, but it just wasn't working out, so I took out a thin brush and used it with China Glaze's Go Crazy Red, and made candy cane stripes. It turned out really cute!
Not the best pictures, Dang I really need to fix my light box....
| Do you see that lovely blue shimmer? |
Thanks for stopping by!

It's December!
Okay so I am really proud of myself right now....I did an awesome job with tonight's Mani. Although my pictures suck, there was little light outside, and it was the sunset light so it was orangeish....
Ok So I started out with China Glaze's Passion in the Pacific as a base coat. Then I tipped my pinkie, middle, and index fingers with Finger Paints All you need is color. Then on a plastic baggie I made little white circles with Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear White on and topped it with Confetti Ice Ice Baby for a 'snowy' effect. Then a made little santa hats on the baggie with China Glaze's Ruby Pumps. I topped the work with Out the Door, let it dry, and then came back to it. I topped my ring ringer with a top coat and pulled one of the white circles off of the baggie and placed it on my finger to the edge of it and toward the tip, pressed it down gently and then took a hat off of the baggie and placed it on top the white circle. I then used a dotting tool and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed to make a nose, then placed two dots with WnW Black Creme for the eyes and then made a mouth, and then topped the hat with a dot of the white used for the circles. Then went back and dotted all of my fingers with the Confetti Ice Ice Baby....to make it look sparklie/snowie. Then topped it all off with Seche Vite.
*Excuse the blister on my thumb, I burnt it a couple days ago on the oven rack, ouchie!*
Again, I'm sorry about the cruddy pictures, I really need to fix my light box.....
What do you think?
Don't forget to vote in my Franken Naming poll <--------- on the left in the sidebar.
