Cancer Awareness Challenge Day 5

Hi Guys.

This month I will be sporting a pink AND gold manicure everyday, except the days of my Halloween challenge I am participating in.

Why? To support Breast cancer awareness month and because I forgot last month or rather didn't really know because it isn't as publicized as Breast Cancer is, Pediatric cancer awareness.

I have a friend that has a wonderful little boy, E. He is so strong and so brave! He is fighting the evil dragon, that is what they call it. He has a GREAT supportive family, that has also been very strong and brave. I want to support them as well and what better way to do it then to do fun mani's?? If your the donating type, there are three charities that my Friend recommends:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, St. Baldricks, and Curesearch
I did a reverse leopard print for today...Zoya Raven, a pink striper polish, and a gold from Sinful colors that I forget the name of....its the same one I used a few days ago.....oh yeah, This is It.

Emma said they looked like lips!!

Today is Day four, I missed day three So I just skipped a number...

Colors on today are Sally Hansen Gem Crush Lady Luck and Jordana Funky gold Town.
I used the Elmer's glue method, I did two coats of it, one, let it dry completely, then a second and let it dry completely. Then about 4 coats of Lady Luck, and one dab and place coat of Funky Gold Town. (NO base coat) Then added a top coat of Seche Vite.

I loved this combo!

THIC Day 3: Ghosts

Boooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Did I scare you? LOL.

Hope not....

Well this is day three of Bec's challenge. I did something pretty easy, but pretty cute too...nothing to fancy or time consuming...

For this one I used Zoya Raven and Sally Hansen White On. The index finger ghost looks a little 'dirty' he got into some of the 'blood' from my 'Carrie' nails.

Today's Manicure includes a base of Sinful Colors This is It and Love my Nails Pretty in pink. I placed all the glitters by hand.

My Grandma I believe at one time was DX'ed with colon cancer, I think they got it early enough to where she didn't need any treatment though, but I can't remember right now...

In an upcoming post I will tell you about a friend who has been through numerous accounts of cancer's and what she is up to now!

THIC: Day 2: Water Marble

Time for Day two of Bec's challenge. Water Marble. Well I just wasn't up for dealing with that so I went the dry marble route. Its pretty Grotesque, as in awful, but hey its Halloween, right?

I used an orange creme, red creme, orange sheer, and a black and just did different designs on a plastic zippy bag, let them dry then added a base coat to my nails let it get tacky and jut put these on, in the same manor as you would a nail strip :D Easy.

And just because I felt like being silly. This is our 'adopted' - using that term lightly as he just sits on our front porch- cat, we named his Alfred, or sometimes he is Alvin....But his real name we found out is Boots. He used to live across the street until his owner passed away now he is the neighborhoods cat.

So here is today's Manicure, I used Finger Paints Give Pink a Chance and China Glaze Blonde Bombshell.

This is a cute little (BIG) bow that I made last night....Em is sporting it to school today, We will see how well it holds up on her, might make more to sell...what do you think?

TIHC: Day 1: Horror Movies!!

Hey there peeps! I am not much into Halloween, because, well I don't believe in it....but I wanted to do a challenge, and this one that Bec over at Deadly Divine made up is pretty cool, its spaced out enough that I can enjoy it and not be rushed.

So Day one, Horror movies......eww! I hate them, don't watch them, well can't because they freak me out....and most of the time they are just non sense anyways, like zombies, and vampires....um hello..that is science fiction, not horror....

But there is one movie in particular that came to mind. I've prob seen bits and pieces of it...and its my name sake, so I had to do it....

Horror Movie of choice: Carrie

I used Zoya Raven for a base, then on my thumb did dripping blood, on my index and middle did the name 'Carrie' and brushed it with red for the blood, and then based off of images on google did the ring finger and pinky with flames, and on the ring finger did a white stick person with brushed on red for the blood....
