Pink Wednesday, just barely....

I keep seeing these really cute fruit designs floating around the nail world. So what better than watermelon, perfect for summer, right? I thought about mixing fruit, I saw a really cool Kiwi design that I want to try also! But I stuck with one fruit....

Watermelon! Have you ever heard that song, Watermelon Crawl by Tracy Byrd?

My Son, Hunter, he is 8 months old, he does the watermelon crawl.....or the army crawl, it is so cute! He is so speedy!

Anyways on to the nails! I used NYC in Midtown for the base color, then added a tip of Finger Paints Go Van Gogh, then added a stripe of LA Colors in a green/gold color. Then added the seeds-I used Wet N Wilds Black creme and a dotting tool.

So whatchya think?

Florida, its weather is unpredictable....evidence in my post and on my nails!

So I wanted to do something tropical on my toes, and something with the color blue on my finger nails. My Friends proposed, thunderstorms, clouds, ocean, cherry blossoms....
I went with the thunderstorms....its different that's for sure! Quite opposite of my toes, which are very tropical!

On my fingernails I have Wet n Wild as a base, then I swiped on some of the Sinful colors, nirvana and black on black, and Rimmel grey matter, and then used a brush to 'mix' them into clouds.... and then added lightning bolts.

On my toes I did a base of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in crushed, followed by Pure Ice in Excuse Me, and then Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away. With some black palm trees done with Art Deco 'skinny' polish.

I really love my toes, they came out awesome, not so sure about my stormy fingers, they are for sure different...

What do you think?

My hair is pretty much black.....but I like it! And it looks healthy again!

~on the wild side~

Well I was having a hard time choosing/figuring out what I wanted to do with my nails. So I posted on my FB page for people to give me an idea. My cousin Julie, suggested Zebra. I asked her about colors, she said Purple and Yellow....

I used Four colors. China Glaze Tantalize Me (top section of middle finger), a nice light duo shade of purplie pink. Pure Ice in Excuse me, I picked this up just for this purpose (top section of pinkie), its a shimmery/shiny yellow, very pretty! Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mellow Yellow (top section of index finger), a very opaque yellow. And Finally, Finger Paint in Peaceful Purple (Top section of ring and thumb), a nice glitter polish-goes on thick, but all my FP's go on thick...
Then I took a bottle of Black art polish, they have a small long thin brush in them, and drew pointy lines that alternated off of the sides. I guess its more like Tiger striping then Zebra.....

What do you think? I only got four pictures in before my camera died on me, two with flash, two without, all in my lightbox.

These two are without flash in my lightbox:

Lightbox fun and some 'Nirvana'

Well I was curious and crafted up a lightbox this afternoon. After seeing some of my other nail bloggers using them and talking about them. It was pretty easy to make, a whole here a whole there, and some tissue paper, and a piece of poster board, and a light....not much to it. I have on Sinful Colors Nirvana. Its a dark milk chocolate color. You either like it or not, and I think its a nice neutral color, that happened to look really good on me and my skin tone....I meant to add something else with this but never got around to it, with four kids at home, sometimes it is impossible to get the time in, or stay up late and do it (which is what I normally do).

So here are some photos, captioned.... which ones do you like best?

The Lightbox:

The non lightbox photos:

PS, look how nice my cuticles look, its that lotion from my last pink wednesday post, go check it out!

These next photos are from the lightbox with a flash setting:

This set of photos is with no flash in the lightbox:

this was a close up setting, not so good...

I'm not sure I like the non flash in the lightbox....It could be me or me not knowing how to take a good picture...

Here are some more with flash in the lightbox:

I like the flash in the lightbox photos better...its true to color too, the non flash seems more yellow/orangy to me...

whats your opinion?

what to do what to do?

We are going through what alot of people in this country are going through, Hard Times. We are currently trying to short sale our house, because it got to expensive to live in! And the bank keeps going back and forth with our buyer, and will prob aggravate her, and it will fall through, which will then put us into the foreclosure mode....Ugh!

Well, I want to move home so bad, its only 45 minutes away, but the way things are looking its either there, and Hubby has to make a drive to work everyday (50 minutes) or we move closer to his work and farther from my home.....which we both don't want to do. I miss My mom, My Grandparents....My Grandma has Alzheimer's and I am sure it is getting hard on my Grandpa to take care of her and everything else all the time....I miss having nice parks right down the street, beaches less then ten minutes away- not 40 minutes away with tolls! I miss having more than one reliable great Friends, I miss having shopping all around, and not having to travel so far to get to decent non walmart shopping...I miss real restaurants and not old people/fast food places....I miss it all!

It will really push us to our limits though, I think financially and emotionally (esp if Hubby has to drive the 50 minutes everyday...). But I think there are more 'opputunities' there for us, better education for the kids, more things to do for them, that isn't so far away...maybe job opportunities for Kevin and I.

I'm so torn on what to do. I am just confused I guess. I want to move home but then again what if Kevin regrets it after a week or so of driving that far everyday? (He could stop at his parents, they would be halfway between home and work...) I don't want him placing regret in our marriage, its hard enough on us going through all this...but I also think that if I am 'home' I will be more happy. I won't be as lonely, homey, or moody. I could take the kids more places to get them out of here...they would have friends to play with...ect.

At this point I am so confused and I don't care about anything. I don't care about finding a house, I don't care about packing, cleaning...nothing. I don't care that we can potentially be homeless shortly...I don't care. I don't know why that is, but that is how I feel....
