Finally...I have Elle's Spell !!

I have been wanting this polish since seeing it on Chloe's Nails long ago, back when my obsession began about a year ago...
My cool blogger friend swapped me for it! Yay! Thank You so much Sara!

I layered Elle's Spell , by Barielle, over Revlon Top Speed Cherry. Oh my that is a yummy 'Sorbet' polish. Not quite a Jelly, but not quite a Creme either. Two cots of the Revlon, one of Elle's Spell. Then I took out my NYC Matte polish, its new to their line, and matte'd my ring finger.

Yes there are alot of photo's, sorry.

Some exciting news....Jeanie from Midnight Manicures is having a giveaway to celebrate her blog anniversary, and I made a polish for it! So exciting, make sure you keep an eye out for it, April 1st I think she said! I also am making a bunch of polishes to start selling, mostly glitters.....keep an eye out for those as well....It'll just be first come first serve...I won't be making large quantities...unless its worth it for me....(time wise/ demand of polish/ etc, it just all depends)

ROTW: Mummy Dogs

Ya I know this post should be in October, but Whatever....Here it is...

Alright so take a can of pizza dough, unroll it and press it out a bit, and slice it with a pizza slicer into 10 slices.

Wrap each hot dog with one slice of dough.

Bake in pre-heated oven (package recommendation) until golden brown.

Serve. My Kids had fun with them...This is Parkers:

This is Emma's:

 Riley's:

I also tried adding a strip of cheese under the dog and then rolled them up...cheese came out, but it was so good anyhow!!

Franken Review: Naiade -by Karine

by Karine

Turquoise jelly with opalescent flakies and glitter

one coat (forgot to watermark, whoops)

Two Coats

Three Coats

Three Coats

Two coats of Naiade over two coats of China Glaze Concrete Catwalk, with a clover stamp

Same as above
Karine's polishes are so pretty. This one is the one I was hoping she'd send me for review! I love green flakies! She made this line of polishes inspired by her Birthday Buddy's! This is taken from Karine's blog about this polish: The name comes from the Greek νάειν and νἃμα which means flowing water (in Greek mythology, Naiads are water nymphs). The polish was very easy to work with. It dries a bit matte, but some clear coat shines it right up! I really love the lightness of the base color, so easy to wear on its own, or layer it like I did over a dark color.

Karine is opening up shop April 1st. Head on over to her FB page to get updates! Thanks Karine!

BlogHer Book Club: Diary of a Mad Fat Girl

Wowzer, was this a good read!

BlogHer Book Club provided me with a book to read, Diary of a Mad Fat Girl by Stephanie McAfee. I sat and read this in about three days. That is the fastest I have read though a book in a LONG time! 'Ace' and her friends are hilarious!

The book revolves around three girlfriends, one hiding a secret lover, one being verbally assaulted then later worse, and one who kept making the wrong decisions. They helped each other through there problems and eventually they all had happy endings. I love it when a book ends on a happy not. Diary of a Mad Fat Girl was very easy to read, light and witty, it had a bit of everything in it, romance, comedy, drama, mystery....

Ace (Gracelia Jones) has this long time boyfriend that she won't marry because she has trust issues. She speaks her mind no matter and has weight issues...and this really cute dog, a chiweenie, named Buster Loo.

Chloe is in a horrible marriage which she finally wakes up after her friends get their spy on and start following the husband around to strip clubs and other places, so funny what kind of situations they get themselves into!

Lilly, the one hiding a secret boyfriend is accused of sleeping with a minor, but come to find out she is really hiding a Gentlemen's secret.

There this really cooky know it all about everything to do with the town, rich as heck lady....she has all the info you could ever dream of getting your hands on, from security cameras throughout Bugtussle, Mississippi. She ends up helping screw over Chloe's Husband, and Lilly and Ace's arch nemesis, the school principal they work under!!

All in all you NEED to read this book! I defiantly will look for more books from Stephanie McAfee, she writes what I LOVE to read!

Dream Polish?

Hey there! Hows your week going? Mine is going ok, we just chunked out another big amount of mula on our car...we just spent 3K on my van...blah blah...my husband got a speeding ticket yesterday, 30+ miles over!!! My Friend informed me that it is mandatory court for 30+ over the limit. Why Hunny why? Ugh! He's on his own with that one...(is that wrong of me?)

Anyways. I am in the works of creating a line of blogger inspired polishes. I am really excited about them! And then I have a couple more polishes in my head...hoping to translate into a bottle...When I do start making them, I think I will only be making a few of each...unless they take off and the supplies are current....I'll just have to play it by ear.

So that leads me to the question, What is YOUR dream polish??? Don't worry I won't make them...that is unless you hire me to do so...lol. (seriously) :)

I've been trying to think of that myself and can't just choose one...its hard.

I'll leave you with a gloomy day in paradise and a trip over the Sunshine Skyway!

New things ahead....yay!

Hey there lovely people! How are you all tonight? I have had a pretty rough day with the kids today, and I am so looking forward to my day alone tom. My husband doesn't know the extent of my outing tom, but It entails a new 'Do! (Hair-do) I am going to get side swipe bangs, I can't decide between these two: ONE or TWO. What do you think? Here is my picture my hair is a tad shorter and of course a diff color :) but generally the same style...don't laugh at my silly picture :)

I created a one of a kind polish for a birthday group buddy of mine Yezenia, and I had so much left over base color, because I couldn't get it right, that I made up two quick glitter's with the leftover:

Ocean Party

Ocean Party

Ocean Party

Ocean Party on the left and Crusoe on the right
These two are VERY similar, but they are different if you look at the swatches of them. Ocean party is more colorful and flakie-less and Crusoe has lots of purple flakies and gold bar glitter.

Crusoe (named after the movie The Water Horse)

Crusoe (sorry its blurry)

Crusoe
Ocean Sparkle's (I think this was what i named it) Yezenia's polish, on the left, and Candy-land, Lailaa's Polish (another one of my birthday group people)

same as above, Left is Ocean Sparkles and on the right is Candy-land

The first two frankens are actually on my blog sale if your interested in them, Ocean Party and Crusoe.

I have a special post coming soon about The Traveling Polish! It includes another Franken!!!
