Happy Halloween!

Yay it's finally Halloween! (this is a BIG post, beware!) Last day for Halloween themed Mani's! I couldn't decide what to put on my nails....so I did a 5 different things!
On Friday I picked up a Sally's Mini Glow in the dark polish...I couldn't find any other ones :*(
But I found out that this little one, works great! I also found some other beauties, but I will save that for another post!

When I prepared for this, I wasn't really sure what I was going to do... I wanted to try Mummy's, Pumpkins, The blood dripping thing, and my stamps.....

I painted all my nails with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's White On. Seche Vited it, and went to dinner, came back with a plan, lol. I did all of the above...

What I used:
My thumb has bats and a church form the Bundle monster plate 224 and 13, using Wet N Wild black creme and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue It, With Sally's Mini GITD on top.
My index has OPI (my one and only OPI- that's sad :(  Black Shatter, the glow in the dark is under the Shatter.
My middle has a Pumpkin and old tree stamped on it, plate BM-224, with Wet N Wild Black Creme, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed. With the GITD on top.
My Ring is a mummy, using LA Colors Art Deco Striping polish in black, And then a white from a french kit by KISS, and then Big Apple Red Creme by NYC. I forgot to put the GITD under the stripes so I went back and dotted it between the lines and on his eyes.
On my pinkie is the Big Apple Red Creme by NYC, using a dotting tool and the brush from the bottle, with GITD over top.

And I love my toes right now, I have never really used a white as a color, only an accent, but this is really really really pretty! I used an old CQ white polish, with the silver/black pumpkin glitter from this post.

We, I mean Mr. LoveButt, carved pumpkins yesterday while the kids did a craft I picked at Micheal's, and what made me happy was that it didn't need glue, all the pieces had sticky backs, Yay!

Oldest did this one

Little Man did this one

Drama Queen did this one

Happy Halloween!!!! Be Safe tonight!!!!

Don't forget to enter my 100 Follower Give-away, it ends Wednesday at midnight, eastern time!

Flying Dragon is a NEON?....

Hello! How are you all today? It rained here a little while ago, now its sunny, but i just heard thunder, so we'll see....

On one of my first trips to Sally Beauty to explore the China Glaze I was hearing so much about (this was at the beginning of my polish addiction) I found Flying Dragon. Supposedly its a neon, although when I think of neon's I think of bright bright bright, eye blinding colors....Flying Dragon isn't blinding at all....its actually quite muted in my opinion. It goes on well, it has blue and red/pink sparkles in it. It is matte with out a top coat.

I picked up a cheapo polish at the dollar store last week or so, and I wanted to see what it looked liked, so I plopped it on top of this on my ring finger, this comb makes me think of Zoya Roxy. The bottles are made to look like Sally Hansen's Diamond style....with a diamond on the front of the bottle, its called Sunset, but let me tell you something...I will not buy another one, and I almost took this one back...It hurt my nose so badly, it stunk....and it stunk after I put on a top coat...and until the next morning...I don't know if I will ever wear this alone....or at all for that matter....no wonder it was cheap, I should have known!

I'm having a hard time taking nice pictures with my new camera, every time I think I have a decent shot I come inside and crop it and it still looks a bit fuzzy....any tips out there....Maybe I should go back to my light box and see if that helps....

See ya next time!

Happy 4th of July!!!!

I intended to post this by Saturday, as I wanted my nails painted by Friday night, but time got away from me, and didn't get it done till Saturday night....
Oh well, they look cute!
I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps for my base, striped it with a white art polish, then tipped it with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue It. Then I added some cute little star gems I found at sally's.

Happy Fourth of July to my American followers!

Hair Calamity!

I get bored easily, VERY easily! I have been finding grey hairs on my head for awhile now, and their starting to be more and more, and closer to my temple/hairline area, so they are getting more and more noticeable, to me anyways. So I was dying my hair, brown got boring, so I had a few highlights put in. Then I redyed it because they grew out and I wasn't getting them done for awhile ($$$$). So Then I went to Sally Beauty and got my own supplies to highlight my own hair, It worked three times.....and then this time, I don't know what happened but, but it bled through the cap, and was spotty looking at the temples, not wearable. Plus I think I pulled out too much hair and it was TOO blonde!

Results:

see the spots?

I determined that i don't look good THIS blonde!

looks good from above!

more spots
Well you can see why I couldn't go out in public like that. So I went back up to Sally's the next morning to get some Dye, I chose a dark red brown....well its pretty close to an orangy red....not to thrilled with it but I guess I'll do until my hair gets back to a healthy state from all of this.....

Result:

looks good from the top!

The original highlights turned a light orangy red....

The very start of my hair highlighting insanity..

this was a shop that did it....

a friend that is a hair dresser did this, loved it...

my first try at the cap, by myself.

second try, more highlights.

went red for fall

another shade of red after roots grew in...
When my roots grew in after this I dyed it back to a light blonde brown color, no picture, sorry.
I get bored.....I should probably stop dyeing it altogether for a little while.

May Flowers, Finally!

A couple postings back I made a really lame joke about April Showers/May Flowers....well its the end of May and there are Flowers! Thanks to my cousin, Candace, I wanted to try daisies on a light pastel color....

I was in Sally Beauty Supply and had to spend$20 to use my coupon and came across some cute simple little white flowers that had some pink and orange flowers as well, but mostly white, so I grabbed them.

I came home and put on Orly Razzle, an great color! It looks like a raspberry, its so delicious looking, VERY similar to Zoya Roxy. I used four coats of it, plus Seche Vite. And then I placed a few flowers on each nail. I am very Happy with the results.

Sunset lighting

See the pretty shimmer in it!

Do you like it?

April & May's finds/scores...

April Showers bring May flowers? Well it didn't shower on me in April, but I have pretties for you and its May....
Ya OK that was a bit retarded, sorry....I tried.

I bought the Finger paints at Sally, they had buy three of the new line and get the cute little purse pictured at the end FREE. It's really cute. The polishes I bought are below, I got the green and purple sparklie ones and the pink with the deal I mentioned, then went back in and bought the green one and black glittery one. The pink and green non glitters, are very thick and kinda hard to apply smoothly....the glitters go on like a jelly!

Where art Renoir?, Give Pink A Chance, Peaceful Purple, Go Van Gogh!, All You Need is Color

On Mothers day, I spent it with my Bestie,, we went out to eat and SHOPPING. We went to Sally, then enjoyed a great lunch at the Olive Garden, and then went to Kohl's. We then hit up Bed Bath and Beyond, man do they carry alot of polish lines, and at good prices too, unexpectedly good prices...not cheap, but equivalent to Wal-mart perhaps. And Ulta was right there......these are my first Ulta polishes, they were buy two get two. The blue is a great color! The Purple is a little muted, grey under tones...might be a good stamping polish.
Tutu cute, Blue Streak

These were purchased at target one day.....awhile ago....all pretty colors, the glitter made me a little mad trying to get those bigger pieces on my nail! Ugh!
Starry Silver Glitter, Cashmere Creme, White on, Lacey Lilac

These are from Wal-mart, They look great on top of crackle or 'like' colors.
Oh Baby!, Busted

These beauties were purchased from Sally, I walked in to kill some time before work, working next to Sally is a hazard....And they had these four! I got them all of course! Everyone applies good...
Crushed Candy, Lightning bolt, Broken Hearted, Cracked concrete

Plus these two, It was a buy two get one free thing....so I bought the four above and got these free! I haven't tried these yet...
Razzle, Last Call (this is Nina Ultra Pro)

Found these pens at Big Lots....$2 each. Not quite sure how I like them I tried the purple one once, on a post found here. It is pictured last on that post, it was slightly uneven base due to the stamp, so maybe that was the problem....
Purple, Blue, Pink, and Yellow

And this is the free purse from the Finger Paints deal at Sally.
